RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF CORNWALLIS PUBLIC HEARING Minutes of Public Hearings held in the Council Chambers of the Municipality on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. PRESENT: Deputy Reeve Bob Brown Councillor Emil Egert, Ward One Councillor Sam Hofer, Ward Three Councillor Heather Dalgleish, Ward Four Councillor Valerie Thoman, Ward Six Financial Assistant, Kellea Quennelle Administrative Assistant, Shelley Livingstone ABSENT: Councillor Mike Cranford, Ward Five Public Hearings under the RM of Cornwallis Zoning By-law No.1558/09/99 as amended, were held for the following applications: 7:05 P.M. - Conditional Use Application No. C-8-08-C, being an application to allow for a non-farm dwelling in the "AG80" Agricultural General Zone at Pt. N ½ SW ¼ 32-10-19 WPM 7:10 P.M. - Application to Subdivide No 4116-08-392, SW ¼ 30-10-19 W, DeGobeo, being an application that will result in the creation of a new public road. IN THE MATTER OF THE CONDITIONAL USE ORDER APPLICATION NO. C-8-08-C Mrs. Pat Braaten spoke in favour of her application. Mr. Dan McPherson, BAPD, was present to respond to inquiries. Conditional Use Order Application No. C-8-08-C was approved by Resolution No. 253/2008. IN THE MATTER OF THE SUBDIVISION APPLICATION NO. 4116-08-392 Mr. DeGobeo and his Engineer, Mr. Phil Dorn, both spoke in favour of the application and distributed a revised drawing of the subdivision to the Council Members. Mr. Kent Johnston and Ms. Karen Johnston asked questions but stated they were neither in favour or opposed to the application at this time as they required more information. Mr. Dan McPherson, BAPD, read an e-mail from Mr. John Marsden in favour of the application. Mr. Doug Derksen spoke in opposition to the application. Ms. Nancy Neufeld asked questions and spoke in favour of the application. Mr. Dan McPherson, BAPD, was present to respond to inquiries. The hearing was closed and Subdivision Application No. 4116-08-392 was resolved to be re-circulated to the Government Departments by Resolution No. 257/2008.
