RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF CORNWALLIS Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held in the Council Chambers of the Municipality on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. PRESENT: Reeve Reg Atkinson Councillor Emil Egert, Ward One Councillor Bob Brown, Ward Two Councillor Sam Hofer, Ward Three Councillor Heather Dalgleish, Ward Four Councillor Mike Cranford, Ward Five Councillor Valerie Thoman, Ward Six ADMINISTRATION: Chief Administrative Officer, Bob Wallis CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to Order at 4:30 P.M. Personnel, In Camera Resolution No. 409/2008 Cranford/Thoman Be it resolved that the Council recess to convene in camera as the Committee of the Whole of Council. Carried 7-0 Resolution No. 410/2008 Dalgleish/Thoman Be it resolved that the Council reconvene in regular open session; and Be it further resolved that all matters discussed while in camera remain confidential. Carried 7-0 While in camera the Committee of the Whole of Council discussed personnel matters. Resolution No. 411/2008 Cranford/Thoman Be it resolved that the R.M. of Cornwallis retain the services of MNP to refine the current job description for the position of Financial Officer/Assistant CAO, and to advertise and assist in filling the position at a salary range of $38,000.00 to $50,000.00 per annum, and Be it further resolved that the Reeve, Chair of the Personnel Committee and the CAO be appointed to conduct interviews, and to recommend to Council a candidate to fill the position.
