PUBLIC HEARING

Minutes of Public Hearings held in the Council Chambers of the Municipality on Tuesday, March 17, 2009.

Public Hearings under the RM of Cornwallis Zoning By-law No.1558/09/99 as amended, were held for the following applications:                                                              

7:05 P.M. - Conditional Use Application No. C-1-09-C, being an application to permit for a boarding kennel for dogs and cats as a home based business in the "AG80" Agricultural General Zone at  Lot 1, Plan 47862, West half of SE ¼ 34-9-19 WPM

7:47 P.M. - Conditional Use Application No. C-2-09-C, being an application to allow for a home based business (rental, sales & service) with outside storage in the "AG80" Agricultural General Zone at Southerly 1320 feet perpendicular of SW ¼ 28-10-18 WPM

IN THE MATTER OF THE CONDITIONAL USE ORDER APPLICATION NO. C-1-09-C

Mr. Peng Sun spoke in favour of his application.

Mr. John Shanks spoke regarding his concerns over the application and distributed a written summary to Council.

Mrs. Barb Lair spoke in opposition of the application.

Mr. Dan McPherson, BAPD, was present to respond to inquiries.

Conditional Use Order Application No. C-1-09-C was rejected by Resolution No. 53/2009.

IN THE MATTER OF THE CONDITIONAL USE ORDER APPLICATION NO. C-2-09-C

Mr. Dennis Paige spoke in favour of his application.

Mr. Terry Pearce, Manitoba Intergovernmental Affairs, Community Planning Services spoke in opposition of the application.

Mr. Dan McPherson, BAPD, was present to respond to inquiries.

Conditional Use Order Application No. C-2-09-C was tabled by Resolution No. 56/2009.
