RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF CORNWALLIS Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held in the Council Chambers of the Municipality on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. PRESENT: Reeve Reg Atkinson Councillor Emil Egert, Ward One Councillor Bob Brown, Ward Two Councillor Sam Hofer, Ward Three Councillor Heather Dalgleish, Ward Four Councillor Mike Cranford, Ward Five Councillor Valerie Thoman, Ward Six ADMINISTRATION PRESENT: Bob Wallis, CAO Donna Anderson, Finance Officer/Assistant CAO CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to Order at 7:00 P.M. 2009 Draft Budget Resolution No. 88/2009 Hofer/Cranford Be it resolved that Council recommends adoption of the budget subject to a public hearing to be held April 21, 2009. Carried 7-0 TMR Agreement - Toromont Cat Resolution No. 89/2009 Thoman/Dalgleish Be it resolved that we do hereby defer the TMR Agreement from Toromont Cat for further information. Carried 7-0 Council Remuneration. Resolution No. 90/2009 Cranford/Egert Be it resolved that the Council of the Rural Municipality of Cornwallis hereby declines to apply a 2.5% Cost of Living Allowance to Council Remuneration Rates to reflect the Consumer Price Index for All Items for the twelve months ended December 31, 2008. Carried 7-0 Animal Control Services Resolution No. 91/2009 Dalgleish/Thoman Be it resolved that the R.M. of Cornwallis' Council is concerned that the R.M. of Cornwallis' Animal Control Contractor is not performing to the Municipality's satisfaction; and Further be it resolved that the Municipality review termination of the contract.
